Observation

(1) no age or developmentally appropriate learning materials for pre-school or school age children. Provider has toddlers, pre-school and school age children enrolled. (1)(d) materials are in storage room and not available to children in licensed space (2) there is not sufficient variety of materials in licensed space to engage pre-school or school age children Dispute Description: I rotate my toys in my daycare based on the ages of children currently there. The toys that are out are the toys age appropriate for the 16 month old child I have this week. The rest of my children enrolled are out of town for 3 weeks. Licensor was told that the toys in the storage room are not age appropriate for 16month old and the toys that are age appropriate get rotated out. For example, One week we have soft blocks and legos, the other week we have soft blocks and wooden blocks. I have observed children get easily bored and overwhelmed from too many toys all out at once. The toy rotation keeps them excited to see a toy they haven’t seen in a couple weeks.
